‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 9 preview: When will Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, cast return?
Tonight, “Agents of SHIELD” aired its winter finale on ABC, and it’s pretty darn clear that this episode had it all. you had new costumes, epic battles, and above all a setup like no other for the next part of the season.
If there is a little bit of good news we have to share, it’s this: ABC isn’t making you wait as long as they typically do in order to see the next part of the season. New episodes are going to resume of the show starting on Tuesday, January 10, a welcome change given that this is a show that typically makes you wait until March. We’re not sure why we have a change-up this time, but we’re not going to complain about it since it means more show sooner rather than later.
Based on the promo that aired after the episode, the biggest thing that is going to be coming up within the next part of the season is a whole story themed around Aida, the life-model decoy who clearly shouldn’t have come to fruition. The comparisons to Ultron here are at least fairly clear, given that she’s made a few “upgrades” to herself and is significantly more powerful than before. Also, we gotta say a little bit about what she did with her LMD of Melinda May, given that this is going to have huge reverberations for the remainder of the season.
As for Ghost Rider, is that story really done? We have a hard time thinking that, mostly because this character is so iconic and the show did a great job with it. Granted, we knew that the show probably wasn’t going to be keeping Robbie Reyes around forever.
