‘Big Brother: Over the Top’ poll: Who should win?
We could make this “Big Brother OTT” article super-complicated if we really wanted to, but that’s not really what we’re here to try to do right now. Therefore, let’s keep it rather simple instead as we raise the question in the title once more.
We’re going to curate a little bit more discussion on this over the course of the coming days, but in asking who should win the game right now, the first thing we should do is as follows: Eliminate Kryssie. Seriously. We’re not going to question her as a person on the outside world or anything like that. She’s just not an appealing person in the game. She cannot claim many moves of her own, her single competition win came by luck, and it says something that every person left for weeks wanted you sitting there at the end because they knew that you would lose — even in a season where America has such a heavy influence in the end result of things.
Let’s navigate over to Morgan and Jason, where we’ll lay out the micro-cases for each.
The case for Morgan – She won a few competitions when she needed to, she played a solid social game, and we cannot say that there is anyone really out there who loathes her. The biggest critique that you hear from her online is “she did nothing,” which isn’t true. She said some not-nice things here and there, but by comparison to other players, wasn’t so bad. She’s appealing in the sense that she’s the ultimate underdog, and you’ve got dozens of “Big Brother” alumni competing for Jason as a friend and as a player to win. She may not have been a strategic mastermind or even understood the game every second of the way, but many of the things that she did were impressive and we think that she’d have a very good case to win if all parts were equal and this was a jury vote. Unfortunately, she did benefit from being surrounded by allies for most of the game and didn’t have to work as hard all of the time as Jason.
The case for Jason – This one is simple: If you value playing the game hard and making strategic moves along the way, Jason is your pick to win. He won several competitions when he needed to, and had a cult leader-like ability to convince players to stupidly act against their better judgment for the sake of helping him progress. Danielle and Kryssie were at various times willing to fall on the sword for him. Morgan was a little more steady throughout, while Jason took bigger risks and had higher highs and lower lows. The highs including staying over Danielle and winning the final five Veto to save his life; his lows include the fake deal he orchestrated with Danielle for zero reason and some of the malicious things that he’s said and done. Really, it’s some of the gross physical stuff like the farting and the snot that are unsettling because it’s such a show of disrespect.
