‘The Walking Dead’ season 7, episode 7 preview: Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgna, and ‘Sing Me a Song’

Negan -

Apparently, the strategy for “The Walking Dead” so far this season seems to be giving you spotlights into just about every world possible. Tonight, we’re getting an extended look at life for Tara following what happened to her and Heath, and that caused us to see a very different part of the world. It’s an interesting episode, but at the same time we know that there are going to be some people who were frustrated about all of this and wanting to get back to the thick of the action. Specifically here, we’re talking about getting an opportunity to see a little bit more of some familiar faces.

Here’s the bad news with that: We’re not sure precisely how much of a spotlight we’re really going to see them have over the course of next week’s episode “Sing Me a Song.” (Here’s to hoping that this said song is not “Easy Street.”)

Synopsis (via TV Guide) – “A much more detailed look into the world of the Saviors and their home, the Sanctuary, is shown. Meanwhile, members of Alexandria look for supplies.”

Consider the Alexandria part of the story here as proof that the show is going to at least give some familiar faces some attention; still, we wouldn’t be altogether surprised if almost the entirety of this episode is instead the 90-minute story of Negan more so than anything else. (That’s right, we’re getting a really long episode here.) It’s certainly possible that there could be flashbacks in here, but we’re not altogether sure at the moment if there is any real need to humanize this man.

Promo – Yep, we’re getting a ton of Jeffrey Dean Morgan next week. We’re also be seeing more of Dwight and Daryl, so maybe this is the “Easy Street” sequel so many people demanded! It’s certainly going to be very different than the episode that we had tonight with Tara.
