See ‘Blindspot,’ ‘Madam Secretary’ casts, crew execute Mannequin Challenge
It feels like it’s been a little while since we’ve seen any good internet crazes, so with that in mind, the Mannequin Challenge is at the very least giving us some fun things to discuss during this holiday hiatus.
The one thing that’s working against it? Timing. We have a feeling that if several more of the shows that are on TV right now were filming during the hiatus, we’d have even more of these videos than we do.
Still, to go along with the one that “Saturday Night Live” did for the episode hosted by Kristen Wiig (watch it — it’s great), we’ve got a pair of additional ones in here as well.
“Blindspot” – The NBC series deserves a good bit of props here, given that they did attempt some rather-tricky poses in here! Granted, not everyone really hit this one out of the park since you’ve got a few people moving around here and there, but we definitely still give them an A for effort since we’re pretty darn sure that this couldn’t be easy for them.
The biggest surprise here to us is that the show doesn’t put Jaimie Alexander front and center, given that this would probably bring the video some added attention.
“Madam Secretary” – This one’s very interesting largely in how almost everyone’s confined to a relatively small space, but Tea Leoni somehow found a way to silently move around off-camera to get to the position that she’s in at the end of the video. We especially like that this show, which is not necessarily viewed as one with an audience up-to-speed on internet sensations, is one that decided to move forward with something like this.
“Blindspot” will return with new episodes on NBC in January; meanwhile, “Madam Secretary” will air its latest episode come Sunday night. Stay tuned for further updates! (Photo: NBC.)
