‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 14 video: Turning canvases into cyborgs
There are only five artists remaining going into Tuesday night’s new episode of “Ink Master,” and over the course of Tuesday night’s new episode, let’s just say that things are going to get rather dramatic — and potentially painful for some human canvases.
In the sneak peek below, host Dave Navarro reveals that the remaining artists will be taking on a challenge involving consistency, and the particular aesthetic at the center of this challenge is a rather-difficult one to grasp: Cyborgs. You have to achieve the look of humanity alongside something robotic and mechanical. There are gears, there are wires, and you have to find a way to make this look awesome and as realistic as something based out of science fiction can be.
As if this wasn’t enough of a challenge for the remaining artists, let’s just say that there is one other way in which this is about to get all the more challenging: The judges are going to force the remaining competitors to work back again in their teams. It’s Pick vs. Nunez, albeit with a slightly new wrinkle. Instead of the artists all working on different tattoos, each team will be working on one canvas at the same time. Let’s hope that this said canvas has an extremely high threshold for pain, since this otherwise could prove very difficult.
Aside from this, we do imagine that the rest of the challenge will remain business-as-usual for all of the artists. Everyone will be presumably up for elimination in some way, and there is unfortunately going to be someone in here who has the misfortune of being eliminated just a couple of episodes away from the finale.
