‘Scorpion’ season 3: CBS reportedly adds an extra episode
We hope you really enjoy watching “Scorpion” on CBS. After all, the network is doing what they can now to ensure that you’re getting to see more of it this season!
According to a new report from SpoilerTV, the network’s studio is adding another episode to its order, which will bring it to a whopping 25. That is a lot of episodes for any network show in 2016. There aren’t any other scripted series at present doing that many episodes, though there are routinely some shows like “NCIS” and “The Big Bang Theory” that tend to do 24. We’ve also seen other shows in the past like “Grey’s Anatomy” stretch beyond the typical 24.
So how is the show able to make this work? Much of it really is going to boil down to having an ensemble cast so that one person isn’t having to carry the show and work every single hour of the day. Also, we have a feeling that the team probably works like clockwork behind the scenes — you really have to if you’re doing a network show with limited time to do things like do a million or so takes.
As of right now, we’re a good eight episodes into the new season, and we assume that there are many exciting stories still to come. For example, we’re hopeful for a Happy / Toby wedding, and we’d also like to see Walter and Paige finally get together after spending so much time in the will-they-or-won’t-they territory. As of right now, though, Paige is in a relationship with Tim Armstrong, and we’re not entirely sure that this is going to be changing anytime soon.
