Is ‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 9 new tonight on NBC?
On this past episode of “The Blacklist,” we had what could be the most important episode of the entire season … with a great degree of emphasis firmly on the word “could.” We have a hard time ultimately trusting whether or not Raymond Reddington is really the father of Liz Keen, largely because of the fact that he’s always been a man operating with his own unique agenda, and what he chooses to tell people doesn’t always line up with reality.
Unfortunately, we are going to be waiting until we roll around to Thursday, January 5 to figure out precisely what is next, as there is no new episode coming on NBC. They don’t want to (understandably) air the series across the holiday season, and as a result of that, we’ll have to wait and see precisely what the show’s got in store for us.
Based on all of the information out there, there are two pieces of information that you should know while you await the next batch of episodes to arrive on the network.
1. There will likely be no more Alexander Kirk – It may be a tad early to say that this character is specifically done with the entirety of the show, but it does not appear as though NBC is planning to give you a heavy dose of him in the upcoming episodes to come. Instead, there’ll be a new main story that makes itself clear.
2. There will be more threads to “The Blacklist: Redemption.” At this point, Ryan Eggold’s got to be preparing to leave the series in one form or another. The spin-off series is coming at some point in the new year featuring Tom Keen front and center.
