‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 spoilers: Will we see Owen’s sister again anytime soon?
On this past (super-powerful) episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” entitled “The Room Where It Happens,” we had a chance for the first time to get a real sense of who Owen’s sister was in the flesh. Bridget Regan of “The Last Ship” and “White Collar” fame played the part, and she did a particularly fantastic job of establishing in a short period of time the connection that was there between Megan and her brother.
Unfortunately, this vision that Owen had doesn’t seem to dictate that we are going to see more appearances from her coming in the near future. Speaking to TVLine, Kevin McKidd makes it clear that “for the time being,” we won’t be seeing the character turn up in any fashion.
Do we think there is a chance that this character is still somewhere out there? Well, we at least know that this is something that is a possibility and has to be considered. At the same time, the show does have a lot of other things that it needs to focus on, and we also very much know that there were some other things with Owen’s own life that could be an emphasis for him. Take, for example, the state of his marriage to Amelia, and the continued attempts for him to try to patch things up and move forward with Riggs.
Also, we know that Regan is busy with a variety of other TV gigs including “The Last Ship,” so we’re sure that finding the right time to make something like this take place is always a challenge. We’re at least happy that there is a chance to see her again down the road, even if the character is in fact truly gone.
