‘Blindspot’ season 2 fall finale spoilers: Be prepared for a mole reveal, much more

This past episode of “Blindspot” was an intense one, and it ended with an ominous warning for Jane: Phase two is coming. The fall finale this week is likely going to be everything that you would expect from this show, whether it be near-relentless violence, characters in peril, or potentially a cliffhanger ending that has you screaming at whoever you’re watching the show with until it comes back on the air in the new year.

We already shared a promo for it that gives you a sense of some of the stakes that are coming with Jane separated from the majority of the team. Why not present one more tease? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, creator / executive producer Martin Gero sets the stage for this big episode with the following:

“In one of our biggest, most emotional episodes yet, Jane is stuck behind enemy lines as the team frantically tries to find her … And if you’ve been wondering who the mole is, you don’t want to miss the mid-season finale.”

Here’s where we see the narrative challenge in this finale lying, at least for the time being. We don’t think there is really much of a debate at all as to whether or not Jane makes it through the winter finale alive. Instead, what you have to question is precisely what could happen to here there, and also what she is going through with this situation means for the rest of the season.
