‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 8 preview: Kensi’s continued recovery in ‘Parallel Resistors’
There are going to be a few different stories that we get a chance to watch play out on “NCIS: Los Angeles” over the course of the next several episodes, but one of the biggest ones of course is going to be the continued attempts of Kensi Blye to try to get better and recover following the devastating spinal injury that caused her to be in a coma for some time. She’s on the road to recovery, but at the same time there is a clear recognition that this is not going to be a recovery that happens overnight. It’s going to be taking several installments to get her on that road; it’s going to be tough to watch at times, but there may also be moments in here where it is clear this is one of the best things that could happen to her in terms of her relationship with Deeks. As the two look towards a future, one that could include marriage, this could be further evidence to her that Deeks is really ready to bet there for her for better or worse.
So what else is happening on next week’s “Parallel Resistors”? We’re happy to offer to you the smallest slice of news on that subject.
Synopsis – “After a graduate student developing an electromagnetic weapon for the Navy is attacked, the NCIS team discovers a connection to international warfare. Also, Kensi continues grueling physical therapy for her spinal injury.”
As per usual, CBS is not offering up a flurry of news on the upcoming case-of-the-week story, but can you really be too shocked by that? It’s hard to be given their history. The only major takeaway from this is that the stakes are going to be very high when it comes to the mission here. When it comes to the graduate student, we could also see a storyline that in part revolves around sometimes a product with the best of intentions falling into not-so-great hands. This is the sort of thing that unfortunately does happen from time to time.
