‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7, episode 7 preview: Michelle Borth’s return for 150th episode
Odds are, you’ve probably heard a thing or two about the 150th episode of “Hawaii Five-0” already. This is an episode that is bringing back familiar faces and telling a big story, and at the center of it will be none other than Steve McGarrett. Even the name Wo Fat is going to find a way to enter the equation once again. This seems as though it’s going to be an exciting episode with a lot to offer, so let’s just see if ends up matching the expectations that we have for it in our head right now.
This episode is entitled “Ka makuahine a me ke keikikane,” which translates merely to mean “Mother and Son.”
Synopsis – “Five-0 must free McGarrett’s mother, Doris (Christine Lahti), when Catherine (Michelle Borth) informs them that she was captured and is about to be executed after attempting to free Wo Fat’s imprisoned father. Also, Chin loses his appeal to have Sara’s adoption delayed, and she must move to Mexico, on the 150th episode of HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Sarah Carter returns for the milestone episode and Christine Lahti’s daughter, Emma Schlamme, guest stars as a young Doris McGarrett.”
While we are sure that there are going to be some heavy action scenes in this episode, we do appreciate that at the core of this story could be something personal and sweet about family. This is at the heart of this show, and we’re glad to see that this is being focused on for the milestone. We know that this show can be explosive, so we will appreciate it if the writers choose to go in a direction that is smaller and a little more personal.

What about Catherine? Will this episode answer the question of why she was compelled to leave Steve and work with the Cia?

I hope so, but there’s not much confirmation on anything.

I can’t quite wrap my brain on Peter Lenkov’s intentions when it comes to Catherine’s character. The only way he will make sense on this one to me os for Catherine to eventually die, or end up tying the knot with Steve. It doesn’t have to happen in this episode, as I surmise it won’t, or even this season, if there will be a Season 8; but it has to happen before the series ends, or in the last episode of the series.
