‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 premiere video: Dawson faces danger — and a crossroads

With the fifth season of “Chicago Fire” coming your way on Tuesday night, NBC has now unveiled the latest promo of what to expect. Suffice it to say, this one is certainly rather dramatic and then some as it hypes up one particularly dangerous situation that is coming Gabby Dawson’s way.

At the end of season 4, she decided to take Louie in and attempt to give him a better life. It’s a worthy mission for her, but one that will come with some bumps in the road. After finding her life in jeopardy, she will have to question whether being out in the field is truly worth it for her anymore now that she has others to consider.

Casey – He will see his relationship with Susan Weller start to die down; he’s still the Alderman, but not everything is going to work out as he previously planned.

Borrelli – The season this past spring ended with him and Boden at odds over his brother’s death, and that will reach its most dramatic peak yet in the premiere.

Mouch – In a particularly fun storyline (one that will hopefully balance out some of the heavy drama of the episode), we’re going to see him and Brett embark on a very interesting journey regarding firefighter fiction. They’re going to break into a subculture of the literary community, and some will (of course) have harsh reactions to it.

Severide – With Grant potentially on the loose, he and Stella Kidd are in serious danger. Expect to see much more of Stella, and this new relationship, over the course of the season.
