MTV’s ‘Scream’ Halloween special: First details on (possible) season 3 prelude
Earlier this summer, the second season of “Scream” aired on MTV, and over the course of its finale, we learned that it was not other than Kieran who was responsible for many of the unspeakable and crazy things that took place from start to finish in the hour.
While we are still somewhat worried about the show’s season 3 odds (the ratings for season 2 were not exactly great), the network may still be giving you a little slice of what you want in a Halloween Special airing later this month on October 18. It’s a two-hour event, and it could be used to tie up some loose ends and set in stone some of what could be coming in the future. For more, take a look at some official details via SpoilerTV:
“8 months after Kieran’s arrest, Emma is struggling to focus on her future. Noah and Stavo have combined forces to create a best-selling graphic novel based on the Kieran Wilcox murders and Audrey is in a new relationship.”
Even if there is not any more of this show beyond what we see in this episode, we’ll be satisfied with how much of the show we had a chance to see to date. After all, there was a time when we didn’t think that we were going to be getting a Halloween Special. If “Scream” does go after the finale, the one thing that we do feel is that this could mark an interesting changing of the guard for MTV, given that the network is losing “Teen Wolf,” their biggest hit since they started to shift towards scripted dramas, at the end of this coming season.
