‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3, episode 3 reaction: More on ‘who is under the sheet?’ mystery

Laurel -The third season of “How to Get Away with Murder” set up a compelling mystery in the early going with their flash-forwards this season, and the whole mystery that is attached to it: Who is the seemingly-dead person under the sheet? You’ll find out by the end of this season, and there are still many questions that could come even after that, given the way that the show plays around with various conventions.

This episode tonight was a really significant one for Laurel given her duplicity to Annalise, so it only seemed appropriate for Karla Souza to tackle the flash-forward mystery in a postmortem to TVLine. Here’s what she said that should have everyone worried about their favorite characters:

“I do know [who is under the sheet], but here’s the thing: We also learned any of us could still be [doomed], because they play a lot with time cuts. Who you think is safe might not be safe, as well. As always, it’s a very complicated timeline. By Episode 9, I don’t even know if you’ll be able to fully understand it, because then why would you watch Episode 10?

“It’s heartbreaking … Will I be gone and have to look for another job? The first episode coming back, [creator / showrunner] Pete [Nowalk] gave us the information that someone was dead. So, we’re going through the same stuff as the audience.”

Personally, we’re hoping that Laurel makes it through just because the more we find out about her family and her history, the more fascinating we find her. Yet, at the same time the show has certainly killed off interesting characters before. You really don’t have to look any further than Rebecca at the end of the first season.
