‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 7 video: An anti-smoking Flash Challenge

While there may be a Vice-Presidential Debate on TV tomorrow night, there’s some perfectly good counter-programming out there in the form of “Ink Master.” The tattoo competition is going to be back in action with a new episode on Tuesday night, and as per usual, we’ve got a sneak peek below with a little bit more insight on precisely what’s coming up.

For this particular sneak peek, you can see the remaining six contestants on Team Nunez compete in a Flash Challenge that is all about smoking scars. Sure, in some ways this is almost like watching an anti-smoking PSA, but at the same time it makes some sense: It kills people, and the canvases they are working with for this challenge are trying to forget about the painful memories of their past addictions. The judges even encourage the artists to look at this at an opportunity to look at their own choices in the event that they are still smoking.

For those of you who don’t love the whole Peck vs. Nunez format — trust us when we say that we’re right there with you — the great news is that we’re getting near the end of it. Once we get to the top ten, the twist is going to end and we will see the show revert back to its typical “Ink Master” form. The contestants will then all go head-to-head in an effort to see who is the champion and worthy of the title.
