‘Quantico’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Is a traitor behind the hostage crisis?

Parrish -The first thing that we should get out of the way about the next new episode of “Quantico” is this: It’s not going to be airing next week. Due to the second Presidential Debate, the majority of primetime network programming, or at least the shows airing after 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, will be delayed. The next new episode of this show is coming instead on Sunday, October 16, and we can at least offer you a few details now to make up for it.

The title for this episode is “Stescalade,” and if you were to ask us what this means, the unfortunate truth is that we really don’t have any idea. This has to be one of the most ambiguous titles that the series has come up with to date. Luckily, the synopsis below is a little more keen to give away information on what’s ahead:

“The new CIA recruits continue training at The Farm focusing on assessment, while in the future, Alex goes undercover to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage where she is shocked to discover not everyone is a stranger.”

In other words … there could be a traitor in the midst. Who it is could be one of the show’s trademark shockers, provided of course that it comes in a way that we don’t see it coming. To date, we do think that this future storyline has more potential even than what we had with the bombing in season 1, mostly because with that story you were putting so much stock into the “who is the bomber?” mystery and it could have easily turned out to be a letdown. So much was reliant on one key piece of information: The person’s identity.
