‘NCIS’ season 14: Pauley Perrette, Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly, more react to Gary Glasberg death

We are in many ways still reeling from the shocking and sad news earlier today that “NCIS” and “NCIS: New Orleans” executive producer Gary Glasberg died overnight at the age of 50. He steered the flagship show in particular for many years, navigated it through several transitions, and helped it to become the most-watched show in all of television. More than that, it seems as though he was beloved by many who worked with him over the years.

Below, you can see a small sampling of tributes that have gone out in the hours since the news first was announced.

Cote de Pablo (in a statement per Deadline) – “I worked with Gary Glasberg for years during my time at NCIS. The news is shocking and sad. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and his two kids, with the cast and crew…..I will remember him by his great big smile.”

Michael Weatherly – “What sad a day this is. Gary Glasberg was a gentle man and gentleman loved by so many people. Send your love to his family.”

Pauley Perrette – “Our hearts are collectively broken. Our #NCIS show runner and boss Gary Glasberg has passed away. In shock and sadness. There are no words.”

Wilmer Valderrama – “NCIS has lost an incredible man & leader, Gary Glasberg I’m grateful 4 ur trust & love, till we meet again. We’ll make you proud.”

Duane Henry – “May prayers be with your two young boys, you changed my life. Period. #ripgaryglasberg #ncis”

Emily Wickersham – “We are in shock and struck w great sadness at the loss of our leader Gary Glasberg here at NCIS. Today we celebrate you Gary w all our love.”

As we noted earlier, there will be probably a time coming out soon where we can discuss further what this means for both series moving forward, but now is ultimately not the time for that. Let’s recognize Gary for his talent and commitment to these shows, and for also being someone who earned the love and respect for many who worked with him.
