‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Kirstie Alley set to be regular

The second season of “Scream Queens” has already booked some familiar faces in John Stamos and Taylor Lautner as series regulars, and apparently, they’ve been able to get another on board in Kirstie Alley.

According to a new report from Deadline, Alley (who recently had her own TV Land sitcom and before that “Fat Actress”) is a series regular on the upcoming season, but the only thing confirmed about her right now is that she will play a “brilliant and devious administrator.”

For those of you out there who love some of Kirstie’s prior work, this will be a thrill; for us, it’s mostly exciting because this further cements the show’s ability to cast people who we don’t quite expect in big roles. This is something that executive producer Ryan Murphy is incredibly gifted at. Just take a look for some further evidence of this at what he was able to do with Jamie Lee Curtis on the first season of the show, and then also what he was able to do on “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” with the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr. and also John Travolta was pretty darn spectacular in its own right.

This news is coming out just a little over a week before the new season of the show premieres on Fox. Hopefully, there are going to be a few more casting surprises over the course of the coming weeks; stay tuned!
