‘Blindspot’ season 2 premiere video: Can Jane, Weller turn things around?

The second season of “Blindspot” is going to be premiering on Wednesday at a special time in 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Why is that? Just think of this as the show’s way of capitalizing on having “America’s Got Talent” as a lead-in given that this show is airing its season finale right before it. The following week, the Jaimie Alexander series will move back to its normal / new timeslot in Wednesdays at 8:00, where it will lead into the familiar lineup of “Law & Order: SVU” and then “Chicago PD.”

In the sneak peek below, you can get a sense as to what the structure of season 2 will look like in the early going, and it could be a little bit awkward. After all, Jane is still going to be struggling under the weight of everything that happened at the end of season 1 with Oscar, and how she felt that her actions were justified as a means to keep Weller and the rest of the team safe. Unfortunately, what happened instead was a disaster; Mayfair is now dead, and Weller is left to try to pick up the pieces.

It’s clear that there are some trust issues that now exist between these two, and while there may be some genuine feelings still there, how do you recover from everything that’s happened? In general, we anticipate that being a theme in the early part of this season as more and more secrets of Jane’s past are revealed.
