‘American Horror Story’ season 6 spoilers: Cuba Gooding Jr. confirms appearance

AHS -

While the majority of “American Horror Story” season 6 does remain a mystery, one thing does not: The presence of one Cuba Gooding Jr. in the cast.

Following rumors for weeks that he was jumping over to a different Ryan Murphy series after playing the title role in “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story,” the actor himself discussed playing the part in a new interview with ABC News. Specifically, he said the following about his collaboration with the showrunner:

“We are officially connected at the hip like Siamese twins in terms of my creative life … When Ryan calls you and says, ‘Hey can you do this? Would you like to do that?’ It’s an immediate yes, no matter what it is. That’s how I felt when I first met him and now, going on two years later. It’s just been an honor – it’s been a treat.”

We certainly do understand the sentiment from Gooding’s point of view, given that Murphy has helped guide him on a resurgence that has brought him accolades and many awards-show nominations so far. Gooding also expressed in the interview that it is a thrill to do more with Sarah Paulson, who had previously also confirmed her involvement in the series.

While there are still many mysteries out there about season 6, rest assured the waiting is almost over as the new batch of episodes will start airing on FX Wednesday night.
