Is ‘Ray Donovan’ season 4, episode 11 new tonight? New Jon Voight video

The past several weeks have been great for “Ray Donovan” in terms of getting to see more of the story, and also the heightened danger that we are finding many of our characters in as we near the finale. After all, we are at that point in the season where things do have a tendency to escalate, and there is a surprise around almost every corner.

Unfortunately, the biggest surprise tonight is just that we don’t have a new episode airing at all. Showtime opted against airing one on Sunday due to the Labor Day holiday / fears that there will be fewer people watching as a result of that. Sure, they may not care as much about live viewers as other networks (they are a subscriber model), but at the same time there is zero reason to try against getting large audiences.

The new new installment is coming on September 11, and to better prepare for that / everything that is coming up, we recommend simply taking a look at the video below. This clip features Jon Voight discussing at length the relationship between Mickey and Ray this season, and how his character in his own way still does very much crave some sort of deep father / son connection. The problem of course comes in compartmentalizing that and some of the actions in which he makes.

Do we expect there to be further issues / highlights with Ray and Mickey in these final episodes? Absolutely, given that we don’t quite know what the series would be without them. We’ll have further news on the story ahead soon…
