‘The Bachelor’: Luke Pell opens up about Nick Viall hire
We do think that the news about Nick Viall’s hire as “The Bachelor” is still reverberating through the show community, mostly because of how unexpected it was and also how the franchise has typically went with the safer choice. For example, had they chosen Luke Pell as the lead, the show probably would’ve had something akin to the past few years with a guy from a small town who many women would swoon over.
So in choosing Nick, who has already been on three different seasons associated with the franchise, we’ve clearly got a much more controversial choice. Many people are already claiming that they won’t watch, which is really just code for “see you in January.” The reality is that, for the most part, the show doesn’t really rely much on the lead. It’s more about the crop of people who are cast around them, and you’re probably going to find some really interesting people out there for this guy.
As for what Luke has to say about not getting the gig, his message on Twitter is rather interesting n that it seems to infer that he at one point assumed that he had it, only for things to change somewhere along the line. This wouldn’t be the first time at all that this happened if it turned out to be the case. Heck, even with “The Bachelorette” this past season Caila Quinn was originally going to be the lead before it was turned around to JoJo Fletcher at the last minute.
We assume that some other information will be revealed in due time, but for Luke fans there’s always a chance he’ll appear on the franchise down the road. Or, who knows? Maybe he’ll end up actually finding a great person in real life.
