‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’ review: Nick Viall vs. Josh Murray; Grant Kemp, Lace Morris clash
You can argue that it was several years in the making, or that it is the latest example of “Bachelor in Paradise” blowing something out of proportion. Either way, tonight’s episode is promising the Nick Viall vs. Josh Murray argument for the ages. Much of it stems from the fact that Nick doesn’t like his behavior or his temperament with other people in the house. Also, he made decisions for both himself and Amanda without talking to her.
Ultimately, this was over within a couple of minutes, so of course our conclusion here is that ABC did blow this MASSIVELY out of proportion. The only part of this that really mattered after the fact was Amanda and Josh having a chat about feelings and whatnot. Given that they’ve already got a tabloid story about their relationship working out, obviously they make it through this!
Grant Kemp vs. Lace Morris – Think of this as Drama with a capital D. Grant was in the wrong for freaking out about her, while at the same time Lace was flirting around with some of the guys. Maybe it’s self-sabotage, frustration with him, or something else. We don’t really know. All we can say is that this relationship remains hot-and-cold, and we have no idea how or if this is going to work on the outside. It just seems rather tricky.
Ashley Iaconetti gets a new guy – Wells Adams, at least in the eyes of the other people in the house, is a knight in shining armor. He came in, and finally Ashley has something positive to come out of this experience.
Daniel campaigns – Eventually, we had a Rose Ceremony, and with many couples (including Carly and Evan — that’s still happening) stable, Daniel Maguire took to ridiculous measures: Buying Izzy a lamp and getting the twins junk food. Ultimately, the twins opted to say goodbye, sending home Daniel and those two other guys (who bother remembering their names at this point?) home. Daniel, we’re officially going to miss you.
More drama – Yep, Wells’ arrival didn’t slow anything down with Ashley, given that by the end of the episode she was still convinced that she needed to get involved in Jared and Caila’s relationship. As a matter of fact, she may have convinced her to leave!
