2016 MTV VMAs: Where to watch, live stream red-carpet pre-show
Tonight, the MTV Video Music Awards are going to be here! It’s one of the biggest nights of the year in terms of drama and spectacle, and we know that the network in particular is banking on big things with Britney Spears serving as one of the most noteworthy centerpieces given that this is her first time in almost a decade performing on the show.
While there are few officially-authorized live streams that are out there of the show itself (or at least ones that do not require some sort of validation with your cable subscriber), we can at least point you in the right direction in terms of watching the red-carpet pre-show. You can check it out over at the link here starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time, or 4:00 p.m. for those of you living on the West Coast. DJ Khaled and Charlamagne Tha God are going to be the two hosts of the occasion, and with them we anticipate there will be some crazy fashion since there almost always is with this show. This will carry over into the start of the show in some way, but it’s not entirely clear in what form.
Ultimately, our hope here is that this red-carpet show at least gives us something to talk about, and we’re pretty darn sure MTV feels the same way right now given that it feels like it’s been years since anything that interesting happened that really got people having lengthy conversations about what they saw.
In addition to Spears, Future and Nick Jonas are among the other currently-scheduled performers. You can head over here right now to see the full list.
