‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Jerry O’Connell looks all sorts of creepy

Earlier this summer, it was announced that Jerry O’Connell, fresh off of his run on “Mistresses,” was going to be coming over to another juicy show in “Scream Queens” for an arc. There wasn’t really much known about who he would be playing on the Fox series at the time, and to be honest, not a whole lot has changed in that department since.

Well, we do now have a first look at the character above courtesy of TVLine, and he does certainly look to be rather creepy — almost like Robin Hood or some sort of demented superhero. The green cape here totally throws us off, and for some odd reason that is distracting us even more so than the syringe. One of the great things about O’Connell as an actor is that he is very good at playing these sweet, earnest characters, but he can also go really goofy or totally insane. This is one of the many joys that comes from having such a wide array of facial expressions.

Based on what we’re seeing here, it is probably safe to rule out “sweet” or “earnest” as possibilities — then again, this is “Scream Queens.” Who out there thought that this was actually the sort of character we would see him play?

New episodes of the series will start airing on Fox next month, and O’Connell is one of many interesting new additions to the series this year. Laura Bell Bundy also has a part, and then you’ve got John Stamos and Taylor Lautner in there as regulars. They’ll be two of the doctors who Chanel and company cross paths with … and they could have questionable motives.
