‘Dancing with the Stars 23’: Is Maksim Chmerkovskiy returning?
While there are many “Dancing with the Stars” headlines that we expected to write over the past few weeks, we can say with confidence that this is not one of them.
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Maksim Chmerkovskiy could be returning to the ballroom for the upcoming 23rd season of the show after several installments away; some social-media photos online suggest that he could be performing with Amber Rose, but that also has not been confirmed as of yet by ABC.
If Maks is in fact back, it’s rather easy to describe our reaction to that in one word: Excitement. He may not be everyone’s favorite pro in the competition, but he does bring a few things that few other people do. Namely, we’re talking about entertainment first and foremost. He’s someone who is not afraid to speak his mind or mix it up with the judges. Given that he’s also been a guest judge on the show before, he has experienced things from that side.
Also, the idea of him working with someone in Rose who is also never short of opinions sounds fantastic in its own right.
One thing that is interesting about Maks potentially coming back this year is that it is at a time in which his fiance Peta Murgatroyd is not a part of the show. After all, she is expecting the couple’s first child. We imagine that she’d be there in the audience to cheer them on.
Rose is not the only star being linked to the ballroom right now — there are also reports that Ryan Lochte is going to be coming aboard in an effort to fix his image. You can read more about that over at the link here.
