‘Mr. Robot’ season 2, episode 8 video: Darlene feels the walls closing in

“Mr. Robot” is known by and large as a show that has delivered on a rather wide array of twists and turns, and we imagine that there are still quite a few people out there still reeling from some of the bombs that were dropped at the end of last week’s episode.

Without getting too much into every particular in what happened there, the big reveal in the closing seconds was that Elliot has actually been spending the entire season to date in prison. He is now promising to tell us the truth, but at the same time, why in the world should we be inclined to believe him? We’d really like to, but we’ve just been burned before by some of his narrative tactics.

While it’s possible that Sam Esmail and the writers have come up with a way to introduce Elliot’s further story on Wednesday night’s new episode, for now they are doing arguably the right thing for themselves in keeping things under wraps. The promo below doesn’t offer up a whole lot of insight on his side of things, and instead puts the focus more on Darlene and some of her struggles as she does everything within her power to keep fsociety running and safe. However, the walls are closing in with Dominique and the FBI very much on the trail. We consider this a collision course, and sooner or later we’re going to see everything explode in chaotic fireballs.

Will it come tonight? It’s possible, but there are certainly many more episodes to go beyond it.
