‘Today Show’: Al Roker, Billy Bush fight over Ryan Lochte incident (video)

When does “The Today Show” start to become more like “The View”? Clearly, it happens when you’ve got three hosts all discussing something that they have very different opinions about … and on a sunny beach, no less! Isn’t this where they should all just be happy to be getting a little bit of sunshine.

In the video below, you can see Billy Bush and Al Roker, while both seemingly dressed like tablecloths, getting into a super-heated argument on the extent of Ryan Lochte’s supposed lies over what happened to him and his other Olympic teammates while in Rio. This group has become the center of a massive controversy, with Brazilian authorities questioning several of them about the legitimacy of their claims and then also some video footage showing up suggesting that they trashed part of a gas station after being apparently intoxicated.

Both Bush and Roker go toe to toe on several occasions, though occasionally we do also get a word or two in here from fellow co-host Natalie Morales. Probably the craziest part of all of this is that there is such an avalanche of news time being devoted to whether or not Lochte told the truth, when in reality none of it is going to matter much in the end. The punishment will likely be light, and the worse thing to come out of this will probably be some sort of self-enforced punishment by the U.S. Olympic Team.
