‘The Bachelor’ alumni Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell’s reality show gets Freeform premiere date

Ben -It was reported a little while ago that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, fresh off of “The Bachelor,” would be getting their own reality show on Freeform. It’s a somewhat-unusual move for people coming off the show, but who knows? Maybe this ends up being a ratings winner.

While we don’t know too much about the series just yet, we can tell you that the title is “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?” (which reminds us a lot of “Bethenny Getting Married?” in terms of question-mark usage) and that it premieres on Tuesday, October 11. It will be followed by “The Letter.”

The show’s logline tries to give you at least some sort of sense as to what the show could be about:

“You all know and love Ben Higgins and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell from season 20 of “The Bachelor” – but what happens after the final rose is handed out and normal life ensues? This new reality series will follow the happy couple as they prepare to walk down the aisle and begin their brand-new life together while navigating the real world after the splendor of “The Bachelor”‘s exotic dates and fantasy suites has ended. During the show some fan favorites from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” will stop by to visit and share their own advice on life after the show.”

For us, the main point of curiosity on this show comes from this: You have two people who are coming off of this crazy experience, and have to adjust now to a world where they can have some semblance of a normal life. Yet, at the same time, there are still a contingent of people (especially in the tabloids) obsessing over their every move. How do they navigate that?
