‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 and someone’s hope for redemption
We’re still in a little bit of a holding pattern for “Teen Wolf” season 6 to air, and as a result of that, we’re being left mostly to our own devices to speculate as to what could happen for many of the characters within the Beacon Hills world.
For example, let’s talk for a minute or two about Theo. Through most of season 5, he was one of those characters that many people either loved or at least loved to loathe, given that he was such a compelling presence on the show and posed a different threat to Scott McCall and company than many other characters. He was still a guy who was figuring things out himself, and while that made him a little less dangerous than some of the longstanding supernatural entities, at the same time he also was far more unpredictable. When you cannot completely call out what someone is going to do, that creates a dangerous situation.
At the end of season 5, we saw Theo be swept under, karmic move in many ways given his treatment of others. Yet, we know that he will be back in some form moving forward, and he could be moderately different. This is something that Cody Christian himself discussed recently per Zap2It:
“It’s still going to be Theo … It’s still going to be the guy that we love to hate, however, there’s going to be this level of humanity towards him […] There’s just a new side, this vulnerability that’s there, and it’s present. So, I’m very very excited to share that.”
As long as Theo continues to keep us guessing and remains an interesting foil, we figure that we’re going to be more than happy in the end.
So when could we get some further updates pertaining to the series? Let’s just say that it could be a little while. With the show still months away from premiering, we really don’t think that there is going to be a huge amount of urgency for MTV to push out trailers and promos. They’ll probably wait until October to do more of that.
