‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4 casts many new faces … including ‘MasterChef Junior’ alum?

There have certainly been many surprises when it comes to “Sleepy Hollow” as of late, and seeing a former “MasterChef Junior” contestant be cast in a major role may be one of them. Hey, it is Fox synergy! Also, she does have some TV experience and if there is ever a food emergency on set, maybe she could provide some pointers. (Also, fingers crossed that she can convince Gordon Ramsay to come aboard as a supernatural overlord.)

According to Deadline, Oona Yaffe, who was a contestant on the second season of the reality cooking show, is going to play the very important role of Molly, the ten-year old daughter of Diana (Janina Gavankar), the potential new partner of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison). She is described as creative and also reasonably independent for her age.

As for some other casting news, the site also reported the following…

Jerry MacKinnon – He is set for the role of Jake Wells, a research analyst who has always suspected a few things going on with the supernatural world. Ichabod helps to clue him in, and make him realize how valuable his work is. Also, the two may be able to strike up a friendship that they both could need given the present circumstances in the world.

Rachel Melvin – Meanwhile, the “Days of Our Lives” alum is going to be playing Alex Norwood, who works alongside Jake and is a self-taught gadget specialist. She has no formal training, so in our head we’re already drawing comparisons to MacGyver.
