‘Power’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Should Ghost be worried?

PowerWe are only three episodes into “Power” season 3, and at this point, it’s already very clear that Ghost should be looking over his shoulder. He thought that he had things “on lock,” but it actually seems more like people are getting ready to bust down the door from every side.

Moving into next week, one of his biggest threats could clearly be Kanan. We’re not exactly saying that he is 100% just yet given the nature of his injuries, but we have to think that on some level, even if it is a psychological one, Kanan may feel stronger now that he has experienced such a near-death experience. He knows more what to watch out for, and he is definitely going to live in the moment … and that may be bad news for Ghost.

Also, we’re curious to see what his partnership with Jukebox holds, given what we learned about her in her first appearance and how completely unafraid she is. It takes a lot to meet somebody only to have her kill two people moments later.

In getting back to Ghost, he’s also got to be more afraid of Lobos than ever now, even if the main is behind bars. It’s not so much what Tommy said during this episode that was problematic as it was what he didn’t say. Tommy didn’t do much to make him feel safe, and that has to make him realize that this longtime friend of his may not be a friend any longer. He has to sort things out, and either descend further into darkness or work with more people like Angela on the up-and-up. With his history, we’re worried about what he will decide.

Finally, we’re curious moving forward to see what happens with Holly and Tommy given that he didn’t kill Ghost. Also, she’s pregnant, so will she finally tell him? It’s such a different position than one the Holly character has been in during the series, given that she’s so used to looking after just herself.
