TV Quick Hits: ‘Chicago Med’ season 2 poster; ‘New Girl’ sets Megan Fox return; ‘MacGyver’ casting

“New Girl” gets more Megan Fox – Let’s start this edition of TV Quick Hits with the story that is probably a cause for celebration among many fans out there: We’re going to see more of Reagan over the course of season 6!

Per TVLine, the character (who became extremely popular during a brief season 5 arc) will appear in as many as eight episodes starting around midseason. Fox is currently expecting her third child, so it will be some time before she returns to set. As for what the state of things between Reagan and Nick will be when she returns … that remains to be seen.

“MacGyver” scores Amy Acker – Fresh off of her lengthy / fantastic role as Root on “Person of Interest,” Acker has another interesting role coming up on a CBS series. Also per TVLine, the actress will play a CIA operative who was working undercover in Caracas before being kidnapped by a notorious arms dealer.

This show is one that has been in the process of retooling and stacking new cast members for its first season. Given the network’s success with remakes over the years, we do feel at least fairly confident that this one is going to find some success.

While there is nothing altogether revealing about this, it does reinforce the overall message of the show: Saving lives, and of course dealing with the hardships that can come with these jobs.
