‘Ray Donovan’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Depression, action, ‘Fish and Bird’
The fourth season of “Ray Donovan” has for the most part followed a similar blueprint to the others: Ray finds himself in positions that he simply cannot get out of … or at times may not even want to. This is the sort of man that he is, and you can make an argument that if he really wanted to escape the drama of his life, he’d find a way to properly make that happen.
There are moments in the promo below that remind you that Ray can put on a face, and act out life in ways that have him appear normal. Then, you see the rough, rocky underbelly and remember precisely who he is. Here are a few teasers as to what you can expect to see moving forward.
Mickey – Ever the persuasive guy, Jon Voight’s character is going to try his hand with the DA to make it clear that the events with the Minassian were entirely his doing and not anyone elses.
Teresa – Postpartum depression is a difficult, painful thing; her story moving forward may be one of the most real parts of the episode.
Ray – Our title character is going to have a moral struggle courtesy of Belikov’s potential release; should someone with his history be allowed back out there? Meanwhile, he’s also going to run into some former clients at a special benefit courtesy of art deal Sonia Kovitsky. The end result of this said decision may give us even more insight as to where he is at right now as a person … and some of his qualities that we mentioned at the start of this article.
