‘Outcast’ episode 7 preview: Kyle and Allison look back
For a series that certainly has enough totally-crazy stuff going on in the present to satisfy many people, “Outcast” seems to have no problem giving you a hefty dose of the past. Given how rich this said past seems to be, we don’t quite mind that at all. It feels fairly clear that Kyle is a tortured soul, and he’s been through hell and back in almost as literal a way as someone possibly could. We’ve seen him battle demons, and that will continue … but there also matters that have already happened that will need to be attended to, as well. His relationship with Allison, which has been broken beyond repair (at least seemingly), is one of them.
“The Damage Done” is the title for this particular hour, and you can see the short synopsis for it below:
“Kyle (Patrick Fugit) and Allison (Kate Lyn Sheil) revisit their past; Rev. Anderson (Philip Glenister) gets carried away during Remembrance Day.”
It may not be the meatiest synopsis in the world, but hey: It’s effective in getting the point across.
The promo below is a little more effective when it comes to capturing the overall scope of the story, especially when it comes to the spread of darkness and the level of danger that could be involved with Anderson’s big play. We’re still a few episodes out here from the end of the season, but it already feels pretty darn clear that this is a series not altogether interested in waiting around to draw your jaw to the floor.
