‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7, episode 4 video: Hanna’s horror

When does “Pretty Little Liars” start to feel more and more like a horror film? We suppose that in part, it’s when some of the characters deal with situations like the one Hanna has in the sneak peek below.

In this clip, you can see Ashley Benson’s character dealing with a world of pain, one brought on mostly by what happened to her at the start of the season. Put yourself in her position for a minute. Can you imagine going through something traumatic, only to still find bloody pieces in your hair after the fact? Is the metaphorical bleeding ever going to stop? Also, you have to wonder just where this particular shard comes from. Was it somehow lodged in her head from the capture, or from what happened with Dr. Rollins.

As a result of what she went through, you have to think that Hanna may be motivated more so than anyone to get answers. As for whether or not she truly finds them, that is one of the mysteries at the heart of the series at present. She’s going to have to look hard, and rely on her friends to find answers. One of the problems that could come with that is that they have trauma of their own now. Running over Dr. Rollins, even on accident, is the sort of thing that could stay with them. Yes, we say that even with the knowledge that this is not necessarily the first kill for some of these characters.
