‘MasterChef’ season 7, episode 3 exclusive preview: Wolfgang Puck challenges Nathan

MasterChef -

There is a new episode of “MasterChef” arriving on Fox Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, but before diving in and checking that episode out, why not take a look at the new exclusive sneak peek below?

In this preview, you can take a look at guest judge Wolfgang Puck’s specific style of criticism as he challenges Nathan over his dish. There are some elements to it that work well, but at the same time he’s looking for a little more spice and creativity. He tells Nathan to go back, look at the competition, and remind himself that this show is about the 20 most passionate home cooks in America, trying to make their dream come true. He says he has more work to do, and sends him on his way.

Does it look like Nathan is going to be in a little danger in this episode? Maybe, but we have a little bit of confidence in him still, mostly because it doesn’t sound like Puck hates the dish. He just wants to encourage him to do better. Maybe this is the sort of thing that will cause him to become a major player in the competition. It’s a little early to know for sure, but we’ll see in subsequent weeks (provided he survives this hour). You’ll have to wait until the episode to see if we get criticism on this dish from Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi.

We will be back tomorrow with a full review for this episode, so be on the lookout for that!
