‘The Musketeers’ season 3, episode 3 preview: King, companionship, and a new time
We already knew that the third season of “The Musketeers” was going to be the last one on BBC One, but what we did not know going into this season was that the network was going to toss it around like a hot potato when it comes to the scheduling. We understand them preempting it last week for the Muhammad Ali tribute, but we still feel like for fans, it has to be rather frustrating to constantly check their listings to see when this show is airing.
What we are alluding to here primarily is that next weekend, the show won’t be airing on Saturday night. Instead, the next installment is currently scheduled for Monday, June 20 at 9:00 p.m. local time. For those of you looking for some more story teases, rest assured that we’ve also got that for you thanks to the Musketeers being forced to choose between the crowd and some of the people they have been fighting alongside for some time:
“Under orders, the Musketeers defend Louis’s traitorous brother Gaston after he slaughters a band of veteran soldiers in a Paris tavern. The heartbroken owner, Christophe, demands justice – but the preoccupiedking welcomes his formerly exiled brother home with open arms. As tensions ignite and secrets spill, Treville crosses a dangerous line, and the Musketeers are forced to choose between their royal duty and fellow soldiers. Meanwhile, Feron and Grimaud spy a kindred spirit in Gaston.”
Sound thrilling? It does to us! What only adds to the craziness is the knowledge that there are still seven more installments following this one to bring the intensity to yet another level.
