‘Empire’ season 2, episode 18 (finale) spoilers: ‘Past Is Prologue’ could bring death and so much more
The second season of “Empire” will be coming to a close next week, and based on what we’re starting to figure out about the finale “Past Is Prologue,” it’s going to be an hour that has jaws on the floor and also potentially bodies in bags. This is “Empire,” and it’s a show where death is unfortunately rather common. There’s also a “wedding,” but we put that in quotes because we have no idea at present as to whether or not this is actually going to happen.
If you have not seen it yet, you can get some of the first news about this episode via the synopsis below:
“After a life-changing experience, Jamal refuses to make music until his family ends its seemingly endless cycle of violence and fighting. Meanwhile, the Feds are tailing Anika because they want to force her to testify against Lucious. In order to protect her family, Cookie organizes a meeting at Hakeem and Laura’s wedding with various people from her and Lucious’ past.”
The biggest thing that we anticipate seeing here is Jamal’s recovery, as he’s going to pull through in the aftermath of the shooting. Yet, is it possible that someone else could die? It’s possible that it could be Anika, given that Rhonda first accuses her of pushing her down the stairs; then, she may contemplate suicide over having to testify. There’s going to be a lot going down here, and you better believe that much of it is going to very emotional and then some.
