‘Outlander’ season 2, episode 5 ratings fall, but by how much?

Outlander -

Due largely in part to public interest, we’re going to continue to report the rest of “Outlander” ratings this season, or at least until we know one way or another what Starz is doing with this show. It’s somewhat unusual for them to wait so long before renewing a show, but we want to believe that there are a number of things that are being talked about and worked through so that this said renewal will happen.

For now, let’s talk about the numbers for this past episode, which were weaker in the live+same day measure than any other episode so far this season. Specifically, we’re talking about a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic, and also 1.13 million viewers.

Is that a cause for great concern? Not really, since you have to remember once again that this is just one of many ways that Starz analyzes data. More than anything else, they are a subscriber model, and if there are a good many people out there who are subscribing to the network because of this show, they’ll bring it back in a heartbeat. Also, consider the international success here! It’s a show that is beloved all over the world, and that is something that is truly to the network’s benefit. We wish that there were more ways in which to look at and analyze viewership that comes from official streams, the Starz app, DVR playback, and so much more.

Trust us that as sure as there is some further news on the show’s future, we will have it for you here.
