‘Ink Master’ season 7, episode 10 preview: Another team elimination challenge
Last week, “Ink Master” brought us one of its most dramatic episodes in quite some time. Matti Hixson and Sausage faced off in a super-intense face-off, and Matti emerged on the other side having taken out one of the biggest threats to win the entire season. Meanwhile, Jime Litwalk was also sent home after getting into a clash of the titans match with Cleen Rock One.
We’re surprised that we’re going right into yet another Elimination Tattoo challenge right away here, but hey, this show is really trying to throw everything at these people! As the video below reveals, the remaining artists are going to be working in a sort of assembly line in order to create clipper ships in American Traditional style. There is always some fun in seeing this particular style done, mostly because the judges are sticklers on it and there are some people who always legitimately hate it.
The one thing we hate about this challenge goes back to something that the judges themselves say in the video: This is the top six of the strongest season ever. Why are we forcing some of these artists to come and do these weird challenges? We’d rather just see everyone do a full piece in a given style than have to work with other people at this stage.
Ultimately, we think that the people to beat here are probably Cleen, Christian, and Anthony based on momentum and edit, but we’re also not writing off Matti. James and Jesse arrived so late in the season that it’s hard to envision either one of them as winners.
