‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 21 video: Jason Crouse gives an update on Alicia
Here’s a sobering thought to kick off this particular article all about “The Good Wife”: We are almost to the end of the series’ run. There’s just one episode beyond the one airing on Sunday night, and there’s a lot of ground to cover. We don’t know where Alicia Florrick will end up, and we’re talking both in terms of her professional career and also her romantic life.
In the sneak peek below, we don’t really get too great of a sense one way or another as to what is going on. Why? It really comes down to something as simple as what’s happening with Peter Florrick at trial. Jason Crouse tries to update Lucca Quinn about what is going on with the trial, but the problem is that Alicia really is not telling him a whole lot about what is going on. From his vantage point, it is simply because she is currently working in “Mrs. Florrick mode.”
Is there something more complicated going on here? That is certainly an interesting question, and the only reason that we’re slightly unnerved is that conversation between Alicia and Peter at the end of this past episode. Brief as it may have been, were we meant to see that as some sort of sign that Alicia could actually “miss” this marriage? It’s a question that, at least at the moment, we do have to wonder.
One way or another, we’re sure that this show will produce an ending that people will be talking about. You may just have to wait until we get to the series finale to know much more than this.
