Finale Forecast: Will ‘Quantico’ season 1 end with a big reveal?
Who is the person really responsible for the terrorist attack? In one way or another, “Quantico” has been asking that question time and time again since the very first episode, and it is something that we are excited to finally have some sort of answer to … or at least so we hope. Who knows what the show really has planned for the end of the season? ABC has marketed this extensively on all of its many twists and turns, and when you look at things that way, one of the biggest twists could merely be the idea that the entire setup for season 1 could not end at all.
As you will see in our Finale Forecast below, we do actually see the terrorist storyline from this season coming to a close, but this hardly means that there will be other matters that are not addressed in some shape or form moving forward.
What will happen – We do think that the show will resolve the whole terrorist storyline at the end of the season, but that hardly means that they will tie together everything in a neat little bow when we reach the end of the finale. On the contrary, this will probably be the jumping-off point for a whole new mystery, something that will envelop the second season and raise new questions.
Also, it goes without saying that the show will have some sort of big move relationship-wise for Alex and Ryan. That’s what happens when you set the two up as an item from the beginning of the season.
What should happen – Once again, the terrorist story should be wrapped up, but we’d say the same thing about the entire Quantico storyline at this point. There’s really no reason to continue it, and we’re honestly not getting much enjoyment out of it as opposed to the “future” story. If you want to jump around with time more, maybe do something like “Lost” where you go back before Quantico; or, maybe go further into the future.
Also, we’d love for the finale to be more about story and stakes, less about romance and such things that make the show into a soap opera. It’s got the talent to be the new “24” if the focus is put in the right place.
