‘Twin Peaks’: Showtime revival releases huge cast, including ‘Longmire,’ ‘Prison Break’ actors

Showtime -While you’re still going to be waiting until 2017 most likely to see the revival of “Twin Peaks” on Showtime, we have something thanks to the network that will probably have your jaw on the ground: The official list of cast members for the series. It is MASSIVE, even on a level that would shock people who work on “Game of Thrones.”

There are literally 217 people listed below, with the people with an asterisk listed next to them being people who were featured in the original David Lynch series. Among the notable names are Ashley Judd, Amanda Seyfried, former “Longmire” star Bailey Chase, Robert Knepper of “Prison Break,” “Anchorman” actor David Koechner, Harry Dean Stanton, Tim Roth, “My Name Is Earl” alum Ethan Suplee, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, “The Walking Dead” star Josh McDermitt, and so many others.

We’re not entirely sure how Showtime has a budget at all after looking at this list, but hey, more power to them. This is one of the most-anticipated shows out there, and to date the network has remained incredibly secretive about it. They’ve given Lynch and David Frost a lot of leeway and time to make this the sort of series fans are excited to have back, especially those who remember watching the original.

We imagine that this is far from the last bit of “Twin Peaks” news we’ll have this year, but we have a feeling that there will not be anything else to report on when it comes to the cast. How many more people could there be?
