‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Cersei’s High Sparrow battle, Sansa’s next move, more in ‘Home’
This season, “Game of Thrones” is operating under an even more thorough veil of secrecy than ever before. They have not released many synopses in advance, and they have not sent any screeners to critics beforehand. There may be a select few who saw the first episode at a premiere event, but for the most part, this has been the most hush-hush premiere arguably in the internet era of TV.
So with that, it’s an understand to say that we don’t have a whole lot to go on here. According to HBO’s own schedule, “Home” is the title for the second episode, which is being directed by Jeremy Podeswa. He also helmed the premiere episode “The Red Woman,” so obviously there was an idea here to have some sort of continuation from one installment into the next. We certainly hope that Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, and a few other actors have some magnificent performances ahead.
We do now have the official episode promo below, and it gives you a small sense as to what now lies ahead, whether it be the continuation of a battle in King’s Landing between the Lannisters and the Faith Militant, or getting a chance to see more of the struggle for Sansa Stark. We’re not getting much in terms of a continuation to the whole Melisandre story arc, but there will probably be plenty of time to touch more on that in the future. With that, be sure to stay tuned…
