‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ spoilers: Ginger Zee, Von Miller, Antonio Brown performing ‘iconic dances’
Over the course of “Dancing with the Stars” so far this season, we’ve seen the pros have to come up with countless super-creative routines. It’s with that in mind that we’re sure they are eager to try something a little bit different: Adapting ones that already exist. This is what Monday night’s show is all about! We’re bringing back the Famous Dances theme that we’ve done in the past, and all of the Stars will perform routines already well-known from somewhere else.
Take a look at the full list below.
Antonio Brown & Sharna Burgess – Jive – “Footloose” from “Footloose.” Everyone knows this song, and the good news is that this is something they’ll really be able to tackle effectively.
Doug Flutie & Karina Smirnoff – Bollywood – “Jai Ho!” from “Slumdog Millionaire.” Really? We’re going to have Flutie do this? Bollywood is so tough, and we’re not sure it’s right for him.
Ginger Zee & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Jazz – “Nasty” from Janet Jackson music video. Ginger should have fun with this; we know Val will probably love to choreograph it.
Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe – Contemporary – “Try” from P!nk’s music video. Given that Jodie was injured in rehearsals, we’re still waiting to see if she is able to dance on Monday.
Kim Fields & Sasha Farber – Jive – “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from “Hairspray.” We know that Kim has energy for days, and with that this seems pretty perfect for her.
Nyle DiMarco & Peta Murgatroyd – Quickstep – “Hey Pachuco” from “The Mask.” We’re not sure that we really count anything from “The Mask” as that famous in 2016, but we’ll just go ahead and roll with it.
Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas – Jazz – “Soul Bossa Nova” from “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.” Jazz routines can be super-creative, which gives Mark a lot of flexibility for what he wants to do here.
Von Miller & Witney Carson – Jazz – “Bad” from Michael Jackson music video. This is certainly iconic, and we think Von will really be down for the swagger of the dance.
Wanyá Morris & Lindsay Arnold – Jazz – “Bye Bye Bye” from NSYNC’s “Video Music Awards” performance. Wanya needs a comeback after last week’s outing. This could be it.
