‘Big Brother Canada 4’ review: Ramsey’s departure (plus an update on his father)

Wednesday night’s new episode of “Big Brother Canada” is certainly a little bit different / more emotional than most, and there is a pretty simple reason for that: We’re seeing the exit of someone who departed because of circumstances that really went beyond the game. (Spoilers ahead!)

While Ramsey was the winner this week of the Power of Veto, that ended up being relatively useless to him after he decided to leave the game, mostly to help be there for his father who needed surgery. We try not to spoil the live feeds in these reviews, but we will at least tell you that his dad has went through it and is okay. We don’t question the choice that he ended up making here, largely because family lasts forever, and this is just a fun game show when the dust settles. We do like talking about it, but it’s entertainment. It’s not life.

Ramsey’s departure did of course change things up when it comes to the game, since the brothers had to name a replacement nominee. They had figured out much of Tim’s double-dealing in the game, and when the dust settled, they realized that he was a fairly easy person to put him. Do they want him out more than they are saying? Probably, but that’ll come out more than likely in due time. The brothers haven’t been remotely good this week, and with that, they could be the third straight HoH to be in danger of getting sent home the next week.

In case you’re wondering why we’re not getting into some of the finer details of this episode, here’s a reminder: We understand product placement from a financial point of view, but that does not mean we want to spend the lion’s share of our own free time sitting around and talking about it.
