‘Empire’ season 2, episode 14 video: Anika interrupts Rhonda – Andre chat

There’s another new episode of “Empire” coming on Fox Wednesday night, and based on the sneak peek below, we’ve got another reason to worry about Rhonda and Andre.

It all begins and ends with Anika. This is a woman who has gotten into many fights and stirred up drama aplenty, and there’s some mounting evidence from a viewer standpoint that she pushed Rhonda down the stairs in the midseason finale. Yet, she’s worked her way into Rhonda’s world, and in the sneak peek below gets a little bit of sympathy from them thanks to the reveal that she’s pregnant … and with Hakeem’s child, no less.

This is turning out to be quite the busy time for Hakeem, isn’t it? Just remember for a minute or two here that this is a guy who is also is engaged, even if that said engagement just felt like one of the most-staged things we’ve seen all season long. Sure, he got that giant rock, but whoever said that Hakeem was that concerned about money?

We’ll have a whole lot more to report on tonight after this “Empire” episode ends, especially since we’re assuming that there are a wide array of twists and turns coming up. Also, there’s only a small handful of stories to come this season after this episode ends, and we imagine some of them will alter relationships forever … and others will set the stage for an epic third season. You gotta know that the show is going to keep finding ways to change the game. (Can we at least hope that nothing happens to Andre and Rhonda … please?)
