‘Reign’ season 3, episode 11 spoilers: First scoop (finally!) on ‘Succession’
It’s been a long time since we’ve had some news to report on “Reign,” but there’s been a pretty great reason for that: Blame The CW. This show has been on hiatus since January, but we knew the whole time that it would be coming back eventually.
If you missed it, the show’s return date is Monday, April 25, and earlier this week the network released some of the first details on the upcoming episode entitled “Succession.” Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Mary (Adelaide Kane) must find a powerful suitor to align herself with as Charles’ (guest star Spencer MacPherson) impending Coronation looms. Lola (Anna Popplewell) stumbles upon the identity of Elizabeth’s (Rachel Skarsten) poisoner, while Catherine (Megan Follows) becomes a new kind of victim for the castle’s serial killer.”
The crazy thing is that this is really just the beginning of an epic story that is still to come this season. There are many episodes still to come in season 3, and even this is not the end of the road for the show. After all, it’s already been renewed for a fourth season, so whatever happens over the course of the late spring / early summer will carry over to that. Let’s just hope that there are at least a few reasonably-happier times for these characters coming up, given that we’re still feeling that rather-chilling memory of what happened to Francis from earlier this season, otherwise known as one of the more devastating character deaths this season (even though the show made it clear in advance that it was coming).
