‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: First look at last episode before series finale
“The Good Wife” began with a discussion of significant scandals, and based on some of the first information we have regarding the Sunday, May 1 episode entitled “Verdict,” it certainly looks like the series could end with a similar discussion, as well. The synopsis below offers up a little more insight not just about the trial of Peter Florrick, but also the legal future of many of the characters and a battle with David Lee:
“As Peter’s trial begins, Alicia works desperately to keep her husband from returning to jail. Also, Diane and Lucca move aggressively to expand the law firm, but face serious opposition from David Lee.”
Who would’ve thought that Lee would be a major player in the series’ endgame? This character has long been to us one of the most elusive in the series, largely because he’s in the shadows for such stretches in our mind. With that said and as interested as we are in Diane’s legal future, we’d be ridiculous to sit here and say that the end of this show is going to be about this story at all. It’s more about Alicia and her figuring out how she wants her story to end. We want her to be happy and successful, while at the same time we want her to figure out precisely what it is she wants in her personal life. While Jeffrey Dean Morgan may be busy these days thanks to being Negan on “The Walking Dead,” we know that he will be around “The Good Wife” for the rest of the season as well.
Stay tuned; we’ll have more on the road to the end soon.
